Raw material after conditioned is fed into the extrusion chamber where it is subjected to high temperatures and pressures. This combination causes the raw material to gelatinize, expand and form a uniform mass. The feedstock is then forced through a die to form it into pellets. Under controlled conditions, the density can be precisely adjusted to form floating or sinking feed.
